This is your sign to take a break

This is a podcast episode that’s not really a podcast episode.

Have you ever felt a pull to take a break? Like you know you’ve taken on more than you can manage, you know you’re either at the end of your capacity or nearing the end? And if you’ve felt that, how many times have you honoured it? How many times have you felt that pull and decided to actually take a break?

This podcast update is a reminder that there is reverence in rest. We are “trained” to think that pushing pause means that our goals will be derailed. But let’s ask ourselves the question: “what if we achieved our goal, but were too exhausted to realize it”? Society pushes us to work constantly for its own selfish reasons – we’re pretty much hamsters on a spinning wheel. Sometimes even the goals we’re chasing aren’t really defined by us, but are dictated by what society believes we should do, we should have we should look like.

When was the last time you took a break? A true break. Not a vacation that you spent glancing at work emails from time to time. Listen to this podcast episode about how honouring rest can allow us to access parts of our being we didn’t know existed.
